One of the things I pride myself on in my DA journals, is the fact I attempt to always bring odd and interesting facts to the table. It doesn't always happen, in fact, it rarely happens. However, I think this story is really rather good.
My mother brought it to my attention this morning that "Immortal" Jellyfish have been discovered. It's pretty amazing.
Basically, after they fully grow up, they reproduce. Then, after they reproduce they turn back into children. Then they grow up again, reproduce, turn back into children. Repeat as needed.
Scientists don't understand HOW yet, they just know the jellyfish do it.
This is obviously a bit dated, considering the ability was discovered nearly 20 years ago, but it's the first I'd heard of it, and I thought I should share.
Just Google "Immortal Jellyfish", if you're curious.
((Oh, and by the way, The New Christmas Carol movie is absolutely the BEST version of The Christmas Carol that I have ever seen. Go see it. Be warned, it's a tad creepy--my brother was shaking in fear at the end.))
